How you read your purchased eBook on your computer will depend on which file type you selected and downloaded.

ePUBYou will need an ePUB reader. Many can be downloaded for free, but one that will work on most PCs and Laptops is Adobe Digital Editions. If you have an Apple Macintosh, you can also read your ePUB in iBooks.

Kindle/MOBI: These books can be read in Calibre on any PC or Macintosh. Amazon also provides a free Kindle for PC or Kindle for Mac reader.  Others can be downloaded for free as well and can be found with a Google search.

PDF: Adobe Acrobat comes preinstalled on most computers, but if you don't have it you can download it for free.

Your iOS device can read all three file types that we support with different applications, however Apple recommends that you use ePUB files and the iBooks reader.  If you do not have iBooks installed on your device, please download it from the App Store.

Once you have purchased your eBook from us, follow the Download link in Safari on your iOS device and then Open In... iBooks to load the book in your application.

You can also load the book from your computer using iTunes.

There are alternative reader applications for your iOS device. Please follow the manufacturer's instructions for loading your eBook into those readers.

You have two choices for loading books into your Kindle or Kindle Fire.

  1. Via USB

    Plug your Kindle into your computer using the USB cable provided. The Kindle Fire doesn't come with a cable, so you will have to purchase one.  Once you have connected your device, it will show up on your computer as a disk drive.

    Copy the downloaded .mobi file to the Kindle's documents folder to side load the book into your Kindle or Kindle Fire.

  2. Via Email

    You can email your .mobi file to your Kindle or Kindle Fire device's special email address. Amazon has complete instructions on how to set this up on their website support pages.

Attach your Nook to your personal computer using a USB cable and it will show up as a disk drive on your computer.

Copy the downloaded ePUB to the My Documents folder in your Nook to side load the book into your device.

Most eBook readers offer a way to side load your book from your personal computer to your eBook reader via a USB cable.
